  • I don't know what it is...but I've been seeing a lot of these hats lately. I get that it's the trend for guys, but when I see them I have to buy, borrow and steal them! If for nothing else, but a single picture. My friends are starting to think I may have a problem. They point them out at stores and on people in crowds now! I guess there's worse problems to have then a hat obsession...right?!

  • The Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach is where the Blogging Bootcamp was held. This hotel was fabulous! I just wish we were staying the night. But we at least arrived in time to snap a few photos and to eat a scrumptious breakfast. The open air patio would be fantastic for weddings.

    Fresh flowers were everywhere!
I loved how the coffee saucer was tilted! I was good and still didn't eat (but just one taste) of potatoes. I did however have to try a slice of the their yummy grain bread with my omelet.

Up on the deck, they had water and lemonade chilling in the coolest chilling container! Yes, I'm a total geek for enjoying such details. Nicole snapped these images as she is actually the one who was even more geeked out about these than me!
And this, by far, was the best view. Can you imagine settling into this hot tub, with the ocean air and the stars?!

  • Nicole and I both attended the Blogging Bootcamp this last week. It was awesome to be around so many talented people in our industry. Liene Stevens, of Think Splendid Communications and Blue Orchid Designs, is absolutely amazing! And boy, while I thought I knew what I was doing...did I learn so many things I need to change. The class was packed. I enjoyed the break out sessions.
Liene front and center - She had so much to cover in just one short day. We even bumped into a few fellow Dynamite Weddings Friends. This here is Laura Hooper of LH Calligraphy. And of course, Nicole had the camera and snapped away while I was talking to this wonderful group of ladies.
On breaks, we headed up to the open air deck to make some calls and enjoy the fresh ocean air of Manhattan Beach. Here is again Nicole snapping away at me while I was working. And you'll see that hmmm....not sure Nicole looks like she was working as she lounged on the wonderful chaise lounges.

  • I know you probably get tired of seeing pictures of Kylie, but I can't stop photographing her! This is just one pic from our camping trip that basically tells you two things:

    1. She's a tired doggie. That's what happens after running around all day, swimming, chasing squirrels and chewing on sticks.

    2. She's spoiled. This moving blanket is hers, so she doesn't have to lay directly on the ground when we're camping. It goes well with her camouflage tarp, don't you think?

Seriously, how cute is this?! I LOVE IT!!!

  • While hanging out at Silver Lake for the day, we stopped at a spot to bbq some hot doggies and let Kylie run around. I was wandering around taking pictures of the beautiful scenery...when I came across THIS! It's goose poo! This picture is just one section of a whole area covered in it!

I looked around for the culprits of this mess and it didn't take long before they strolled by the "scene" nonchalant, like they had no idea who did it. HA! I know it was you. Have you ever seen so much poo in one spot?! Honestly?! I warned some nearby fishermen as they headed that direction and they dismissed me. As I sat grubbing on my hot dog, here they come telling me how amazed they were and "You weren't kidding. That's a lot of goose crap!" Duh!

I tried to warn this lovely caterpillar too, but he kept on. Sometimes you just have to see it to believe it!
