- Isabel and I met up with Mylene and Victor at one of their special places downtown Sacramento to start our engagement date night session. Anyone recognize it? Great food and drinks at Ink Eat and Drinks.

- After 2 rounds of calamari, we headed over to Sutter Fort and met up with their dog Bella. Victor had family bring Bella.

- Bella didn't quite understand why she had to sit and look pretty when she just wanted to play.

- We did let her run and play catch (for treats) and we tired her out in order to get our family photo.

- The light was fantastic! We even snuck in a few individual shots.

- I like going wide sometimes, this was my view.

- And for the same photo...this was Isabel's view. She was hiding somewhere back on the bridge.

- He asked. She said, "are you for real?" He said "Yes!"

- Isabel caught Mylene laughing it up with Victor while I was getting ready for our next location.

- We pretty much had the entire park to ourselves. It was perfect. We packed it up and headed to our next stop.

- Mylene loves roses...so we did a quick stop at the Capitol Rose Garden.

- They were in their element now....super playful.

- Wowza is all I can of this photo! Great photo Izzy!

- The entire night was just full of laughs. It was so easy to continue taking photos.

- This was our last stop of the night. I had spied this location as I walk around the Capitol area sometimes in the mornings and knew I just had to photograph Mylene and Victor here.
What a fun night!

- Last weekend, Cory and I attended Kylie's baptism. It was such a special day. I was able to document the day through photographs. The baptism was held at St. Mary's Catholic church.

- Here is Katie, Kylie's godmother looking on.

- Godparents, Sam and Katie.

- Kylie did wonderful during the baptism.

- Mom and dad with sleeping Kylie.

- After the baptism, there was a family lunch and Natalie surprised everyone with printing up recent 3 month baby photos we took.

- The desserts were awesome (you all know how I love cake pops - thanks Kristy!)

- I'll end with this poem since it seems so appropriate for raising a young child. It was in the bathroom of their family home (LOVE this Mo)! Yes I even took my camera into the bathroom.

- The Memory Journalists participated in a wonderful Bridal Shower photo shoot that was published in Our Wedding Magazine. The article was entitled Showered with Elegance. The team of vendors involved were some of my favorites and are top notch!

- Rebecca from Sweet Cakes by Rebecca provide yummy desserts. And Honey Paperie added some fun streamers behind the cake table.

- The table was dressed with linens from Mimi and Co and menu cards provided by Honey Paperie. This chic bridal shower was themed with champagne, sequins and a clean white and blush palette

- Isabel and I had a tough time choosing our favorite flower photos because we were in love with the roses and the pale pink color.

- Love that Isabel caught this photo of the champagne being uncorked. Great in action shot.

- The bar consisted of different berries to put into the girls' champagne drinks.

- To top it off, the glasses were edged with sugar!

- The girls thoroughly enjoyed tasting a variety of champagnes.

- Who doesn't love getting a few nighty's at their shower?!

- The Find has fabulous decor items that can be rented for your events. These chandeliers are amazing!

- Here's a view of the space without people. It is a great location to hold a bridal shower!

- Last month The Memory Journalists photographed Rachel's Bat Mitzvah and it was so much fun! We started the evening with just a few getting ready shots. Rachel's hair is so long that she was able to have an elaborate (and cool) hair-style.

- We caught both her and Rebecca (Rachel's sister) coming down the stairs at some point throughout the evening.

- We did a bunch of family photos and group shots before most of the guests arrived. What a good looking family.

- Rachel and the girls did a "Sex In the City" walk down the front steps. LOVE IT!

- Mike Regan, of MR DJ Service, was the DJ and MC for the evening. He did a wonderful job with several games. All the kids had a blast.

- When it was time to head inside for dinner, guests found their tables decorated in a fish theme. And there was a fish on every table.

- They used shells as the place card holders.

- Later on in the evening, there was a HUGE candy bar ready for the kids to devour. I may have sampled a few sour gummy worms myself.

- The toasts created a few laughs.

- When it was time to get the party started, the kids were ready!

- Once again, Mike Regan pulled out all stops to get all the kids involved.

- The kids, and adults, enjoyed the years of history shown in the photo slideshow.

- During on of the games, I was even pulled in so that a group could be counted as 4.

- The entire group was following the moves and dancing up a storm.

- Thank you Micheal and Heidi for inviting us to photograph your daughter's special day. We had just as much fun as the kids. :-)
