  • Last week, as you may have read about, I locked myself up to work on taxes. I did manage (made myself) go outside to walk each day for a break in the middle of the day. This picture was taken with my iPhone just minutes from our house. I love the trails we have to walk on around here. You can barely see sun streaks across the image - not bad for a phone camera! A nice day for a walk

  • Meet Kelly's Kitty...her name is Sundae. She helped Kelly make her bed last sunday... Kelly thought we might like these pet photos...I just love cats!

"She LOVES helping me make my bed. When I put the fitted sheet on, she comes tearing around the corner to 'help'. The first picture is of her just enjoying the warmth of the sheets that just came out of the dryer. In the second pic, I just got the last corner of the sheet on the mattress and she flipped over to put all 4 feet in the air! What she didn't know was that I had stuck my camera (and head) under the sheet to catch her in the act.... BUSTED!"Sacramento Pet Photographer 1Sacramento Pet Photographer 2Sacramento Pet Photographer 3Sacramento Pet Photographer 4

  • It recently was Alexis'€™ birthday (Teresa's daughter). She had 7 of her friends over for a sleep over and they all had a blast! The theme was difficult because she wanted Bobby Jack, a cute little monkey that all the girls love right now. But they don'€™t make Bobby Jack party stuff yet. So Teresa made the invites herself by getting an image of him off the web and then she found some candy bar wrappers on EBAY that were personalized with Bobby Jack. And her SIL, who is a very good cake decorator, surprised Alexis with a Bobby Jack cake she did by hand!! ALexis was so surprised!!! They all played American Idol, the DVD game, and the girls sang their hearts out. They talked late into the night about boys, kissing, and all the things moms don't want to know. They all woke up to donuts juice and bananas and left by 10:00am. Boy did Teresa need a day to recuperate!Birthday Party Photos 1Birthday Party Photos 2Birthday Party Photos 3Birthday Party Photos 4Birthday Party Photos 5

  • So this is tax week for me. I've been hiding in my office and almost ignoring all phone calls and emails (as much as possible anyway). Between Cory and I, we have 4 companies so taxes aren't easy, nor typical. Lucky for me, our home offices are outfitted with dual monitors. So I work in quickbooks on one side and watch a movie on the other side. Normally a chick flick of somesort (the list is too long to name), or the likes of "A Night at the Roxbury" or "Zoolander" is high on the list for the 12th viewing of each, last night was High Fidelity with John Cusack. Don't you love all John Cusack movies?!?!

So what do taxes and Jane Austen have in common?....Taxes and Jane AustenI just watched "The Jane Austen Book Club" movie. LOVED IT!!!! I don't normally watch a movie I've never seen before, it becomes distracting verses just background noise. But this movie was so wonderful. Definitely a girl recommendation!

  • Tonight I met Melissa and Michael for a mini engagement photo session. The short amount of time we were together went by lickity split. I can't wait for Spring when we get together for a longer engagement photo session. And I'm really looking forward to a possible surprise - comprised of wedding attire, water, and speed! :-) The engagement photos turned out amazing. We were shooting for a black and white image for Save the Date cards. Of course, I couldn't resist doing my favorite color shots! (which by the way Melissa and Michael - we can turn into black and white!)Sacramento Engagement Photographer 1Sacramento Engagement Photographer 2Sacramento Engagement Photographer 3
